Procrastination.......

So I was studying civil procedure today....or rather drooling on the textbook. (Yes I admitted to drooling) So I decide to take a break and switch the tele on. So usually it would watch E entertainment (THATS HOT) , cartoon network, or a sports channel so that I relax my brain. So i took a gander at the programme guide and saw Al Jazeera english on dstv. So Im watching and they show this adorable video. Cutest video ive seen. The Kid is a natural belly dancer. Enjoy :)

The Cold Constitution

The Constitution of the Democratic Republic of SOUTH AFRICA......./me cues the national anthem and a feeling of national pride... oh and you can picture the national flag in your head. Its something that this country and specially legal academics and politicians are very proud of. We all should be proud of it considering our rather less than happy past. Now im not going into the whole debate as to whether the constitution protects the rights of criminals more than innocent citizens because it doesnt.. it protects as all and affords us with rights that our parents and grandparents living in this country never had. So before I get told the constitution is nothing great I'll be the first to admit that its not perfect but honestly what is perfect.

Now why on earth would I blog on the constitution well I wrote constitutional law yesterday and this is part of the healing process were I "De-Constitutionalise" myself and get ready for my next paper. (Its a process so humor me ok) Now for abit of a rant I really loath studying the constitution its so monotonously boring and useless. You have to read articles written by bored men theorising about theories that only they understand. If you can read a 80 page constitutional article or any article on constitutional theory then honestly War and Peace is childs play. (No offence to those literary fundies out there). I just feel that basically constitutional law whilst it is based on the constitution is also alot of thumb suck. The judges feel it necessary to make judgements of over 100pages I mean WHY! DO THEY HAVE NO LIVES!. Do they like their own opinions so much or just have this completely sadistic nature that they feel the need to inflict hardship on poor law students......ok ill calm down....

When certain people mention/read the Constitution and how wonderfully democratic our country is they honestly seem to experience what I can only label as an "Constitutional Orgasm" With the reading of every section they seem to get more excited and flushed. "Section 7(1) enshrines the bill of rights....OOOOOOH.....my word is'nt this a naught constitution....... Think I need a cigarette... but wait lets read another section" Jeez for these people (case in point my lecturer) it should be "sextions" not "sections" of the constitution. She makes it sound sometimes like she sleeps with the constitution and undertakes indecent activities with it, that hows passionate she is, now thats gross misconduct dont you think?


Ok I think Im almost done de-constitutionalising. On another note how cold has it been lately I mean I know this is lame but who left the freeser open? I've had the displeasure of studying it for the past week in which it has been so cold I could have sworn I saw polar bears running around Joburg. Its been horrible to study in this cold you just want to curl upon the sofa with a blanket some hot popcorn and watch movies all day. Ah now thats the life.

Well guys My posts may be few and far between until the 20th of June or so. Please make dua for me that my exams go well and that I will do well. I write on the 4,8,12,13,15, and 18th of June so im up a creek without a paddle so please your duas will be appreciated. Thanks for helping in my process of De constitutionalising. I'll see you guys on the other side, keep the faith and enjoy life. :)

Tribute to Mothers

A blessing upon us.

I have always loved that picture since I got it. Its so pure, beautiful, protective and powerful. It shows what a mother can be. A mothers instinct is ingrained and only reserved for her children. Mothers deserve all the love and respect we can give them. Lots of women these days (and im generalizing) feel that when they get married and have kids they somehow loose their independence and "freedom". I completely disagree being a mother is no small feat and thinking that its below the societal norm of what a women is suppose to be is an insult to the very institution that is motherhood. Its a slap in the face of your mother, it minimizes her struggle to raise you and throws it to the way side to be taken for granted. Women you should be proud.

Well hopefully you all had a great Mothers day and treated your mothers to something special.

Cheek to Cheek...

This may be a lazy post you are for warned.....

Since exams are soon I've now placed myself on a self imposed House arrest so that I can study. So I intend studying but why study when procrastinating is so much more easier? But anyways I did study and actually understood stuff that seemed like it was written in arameic and you needed to solve a rubics cube to unlock its secrets. So on saturday night I was at home (sad hey who stays on home on a saturday? I assure you I dont have a comic collection nor do I refer to myself In the third person... Im fairly normal.) so decided to watch the Green Mile. Its one of my al time favorites and is an awesome movie, so I highly recommend it to those of you who havent seen it. Though If you thought Too Fast too Furious or one of its sequels were oscar worthy than please dont watch the Green Mile, it may cause Cerebral Hemorrhaging and you may actually go blind, so for those please STAY AWAY!

Was a great movie and throughly enjoyed it though hate watching a movie on SABC because the adverts ruin it and make an already long movie titanic (No no not that movie with the big boat... concentrate focus! there we go now continue reading:) So there was this song in the movie "Cheek to Cheek" By Fred Astaire and since that night I cant get it out of my head. Its a wonderful song and usually I get irritated when a song clings to my brain but with this song the minute i like voice the words i get happy its like weird.

So decided to check the lyrics and they to me and simple yet beautiful and romantic here read it for yourself:

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the KMAN and MJ have collaborated on a List of such INTENSITY and MAGNITUDE that it may shake the very foundation. This has not been witnessed before. So I present the Top 10 Wrestlers of all Time. This post is definately not for everyone and especially those who mock wrestling and dont see it for what it is, Entertainment. And if MJ and Myself Need to Get Laid so be It :)

Andre the Giant: Who can forget the size of this man. He suffered from a condition called agromegaly or gigantism and boy was he a Giant. A true Legend.

Mankind, Mick Foley, Cactus Jack, Dude Love whoever this psycho was he is a hardcore legend. I hated him when he first came on the seen but he literally put his body on the line for this "sport". No ear and constantly pulling out his hair, who can forget undertaker throwing him off the stell cage to the sound of JR "OH MY GOD"

Kurt Angle WOOOOOOOOOOO. This former olympic gold medalist was one of the best in ring tactcians ever. He Commanded the ring and had the intensity,integrity and intelligence to match.

The Undertaker, The Deadman. Not matter if you a wrestling fan or you stopped watching a long time ago you remember the Deadman. A legend before he retires he is still on top of his Game. Remeber the area going black and then the Bell tolls. Rest in Peace.

WHATCH GONNA DO BROTHER WHEN HULKAMANIA RUNS WILD OVER YOU!!!!. yaah its ok to admit that you were a Hulkamanic once. He was the first wrestler to dabble in Hollywood with with fairly limited success (I mean his movies were horrible). Those pythons and his famous Leg Drop and his legendary slamming of the collosus Andre the Giant. He is a Hall of Famer.

The Heartbreak Kid Shaun Micheals. He put away the debate whether a small guy could make it as a wrestler. What he didnt make up in muscle he made up in sheer determination and intesitinal fortitude. He introduced us to skinning the cat and he tuned up the band and is the master of the sweet Chin Music. He deserves the title of THE SHOW STOPPER!.

The people champion wowed us with his skill and ability in the ring and dazzled us with his showmanship out of it. No body can talk smack like the Rock because he will lay the smackdown on your candy ass. Slipped to number 4 because of his Hollywood status.

Its time to play the GAME!. When any competitor got into the ring with Triple H they knew they were in a fight. Triple H was usually the bad guy, but he made it fun. He had the ability and "the pedigree" to beat anybody (with some underhand tactics) but non the less he is the KING of them all and has won everything that the wrestling world has to offer. GAME OVER!

2."The Excellence of Execution" (originally dubbed as such by Gorilla Monsoon) and perhaps the most resounding, "The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be". Sheer poetry in motion when he was in the ring. He used brains over power and was THAT DAMN GOOD. Need I say more.

(BREAKING GLASS) Stone Cold Steve Austin was one of the toughest SOB's to ever grace a wrestling ring. Did what he wanted when he wanted to and raised hell. Stomping mudholes in opponents and just disrespecting them you messed with the rattlesnake at your own peril. His feud with the Vince was legendary and he never was put on the back foot. Using the Stunner like it was the norm Austin 3:16 is a legend.
