Results/ Travel/Thoughts

My marks came out yesterday. Now I dont have to tell you but i was panicking abit and wondering if I messed up or worse FAILED. However im glad to report that yes (as my friend bob above feels) I'm Absolutely ECSTATIC! My marks came out yesterday and Thanks to the All Mighty and all your duas I PASSED. I didnt do to badly either hey, yes QL I may have over reacted and definately over stressed a tad bit :) I am so glad I can now breathe a huge sigh of relief. *sigh* Now I can enjoy my holiday and relax well until it starts all overs again next year. Thats results now for travel :)

Yes I just returned to the blogosphere but alas I must leave for awhile *sniff sniff* I leave for egypt on thursday and return a day before Eid and boy am I excited. I've always loved history and as the pic above clearly shows egypt is just one of those places filled to the brim with history and culture. The land of the Pharoahs, The Nile, Mummies, Gods, Myths, History, and failed conquests of many nations it has it all. I'll take alot of pictures and hopefully feedback. Now for some thoughts

I've had this song stuck in my head for awhile now. This song and its lyrics are just too beautiful. If you havent heard it i recommend that you do. Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars

Congratulations to Ruqaya Al Ghasara. She won the 200m final and the Asia games. In my opinion a great ambassador for all muslim women especially in the current climate. She showed that the headscarf and modest islamic dressing is no hinderence to any muslim women in any field even sports. The headscarf is not a tool to subjugate women nor is it oppressive.

"Wearing a veil proves that Muslim women face no obstacles and encourages them to participate in sport"

"This is a glory to all Muslim women"

Well Done Ruqaya Al Ghasara!

And one last thing a poem

A Dream Within A Dream by Edgar Allan Poe

Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow --
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.

I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand --
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep -- while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?

LEAVING ON A JET PLANE DONT KNOW WHEN ILL BE BACK AGAIN!

some browser anomaly prevents me from seeing your picture:(

anyhoo, that was a neat way to end off a blogger year. Hope Egypt is awesome for you. I was there last in 1996 and had a brilliant time, so much history, you can dip a finger in it and paint a scroll.
